ROKIT

Hailing from West London, ROKIT's journey started with tracing cartoons on the TV screen with his father, pausing VHS tapes to capture every detail. Age 10 his father passed away leaving him and his mother to struggle with abuse and finance.

As a homeless 18-year-old on the streets of Barcelona, ROKIT found power in his art. He refused to be just another victim of circumstance, instead using his creativity to take a stand against the world that had cast him aside. Returning to the UK and moving to Doncaster he worked as a welder and union representative by day, while studying art at night.

ROKIT's love for illegal raves, counter culture, and squatting led him to drop out of a fine art course in Reading. But he never let anyone else dictate his destiny. He finished his studies at Middlesex, engaged in a number of political direct actions and protest movements, later founding an arts charity in North London - Create Space London. Now, his work is a reflection of the world we live in, from the social injustices that plague us to the historical narratives that have shaped our existence.

Graffiti is ROKIT’s primary medium. It allows him to be situational and reactionary, to create in the moment and make a statement that can't be ignored. ROKIT is pushing the boundaries even further by incorporating the technology of web 3.0 into his work.
